End of the semester

This semester is finally coming to a close. With one week of classes left before exams (for me anyways). Iv missed two weeks in a row an with this being my last week i'm struggling and stressing out about trying to make up work so I don't fail my classes. Iv missed a couple tests and some quizzes and I only have one week left to make them up and I still need to learn the information, this really sucks. So much to do in so little time and I don't think it is enough time to do it all. I go back to work this week too so that cuts down on how much time I have to do anything. This is going to be a long week.

Outside of class assignment

For my outside of class assignment, I went to my sisters high school play. The play was based off the movie Footloose. Its about a small town where dancing or any kind of celebration is prohibited because the priest or city council, something like that, daughter or what not was killed in an accident after a party. The play is a musical where one of the characters tries to bring back dancing and celebration to the small town.

Some of you might have noticed I haven't been in class for a long time.I have been severely sick since Friday morning.iv been to the doctor once already and got the same antibiotic I normally get when I'm sick and its doing next to nothing.I have to go back to the doctor a second time to see what is wrong and hopefully get some stronger medicine. I'm sorry to my grammar schmammar group that I haven't been If you guys have done anything for the next project. I hope Mr Sweeney comes across this post. Also I'm not sure when I'll be back in class due to this.

sexuality papers

Rough drafts for our sexuality papers are due today. I haven't started on it at all. I don't even have an outline or any ideas to talk about in class yet. I don't really have any major opinions about it yet so eventually starting on this paper might be somewhat tough. Ideas were discussed a few weeks ago in class but I hardly remember any of them. Sexual orientation at work is the only major one I remember that I could write something about. Would anyone like to share some ideas your writing about?

Blogging

Hows this blogging thing going for everyone else? I'm running out of things to say. So far everything has been the same, nothing to really blog about. I'm actually having a hard time writing this current blog. Its also hard to remember to do or even keep up with. I think we are suppose to have 7 or so blog posts by now an this is my 5th one. Anyone else behind on the blogging? To be honest I think this is kind of boring because i'm not the kind of person that blogs all the time, so even getting the motivation to do this is sometimes difficult.

papers

Since all three of the papers aren't due till the end of the semester in a portfolio, has anyone else at least finished the first paper? Iv finished the first paper but I haven't even done anything with the second paper yet and the rough draft is due in a week or two. I still need to find the motivation to start working on these papers again. The second topic is sexuality, and I feel like I will have a hard time writing about this because I've never really thought about this so I don't have an opinion.

grammar schmammar

For the groups who haven't presented yet, have any of you guys even started working on the project yet? I haven't met with my group or started anything yet. I'm wondering if I'm not the only one that hasn't done anything yet. I just don't have a lot of time to stay at school to meet with people and work on stuff due to work and other things. Anyone else having this same problem?

Crime and punishment

With crime and punishment essay rough drafts due Monday, I was wondering what ideas some people are talking about in there papers. Mine personally, I used capital punishment as a huge idea I am talking about that has taken almost half of my paper. There is so much to be said about capital punishment you could almost write an entire paper just on that. This is just one of the ideas I talk about in my paper. I would appreciate some shared ideas. Maybe they could help me as well as others who read this. So much to do in so little time.

Essays

Today in class we discussed how some of us like to start creating essays. I would like to know some more techniques others like to use to start the essay process. I might like to try some of these techniques to start my essay process. Personally I like to go straight into research and writing a paper. Its a little easier for me to just start writing paragraphs. Brainstorming ideas and making a list just gets me mixed up in what claims/reasons I should put in a paper. Comment if you would like to share some ideas.
